Freya strolled across the vast deck of the Drakonborg, her heels clicking lightly on the wooden surface. The sun suspended itself above the mast and cascaded onto the platform, the faint sound of seagulls echoing from above. It was relatively vacant for the most part; a few gossiping Tiros banded in small groups, their voices barely audible amongst the ever-present breeze.
She wasn't entirely sure why she crawled up here. Perhaps she was seeking some company? Yeah, that sounded about right. It's not like she could bring herself to sleep in any further. She had always been a morning person.
She proceeded to move forward, her gaze sweeping over the spanned crowd. She scoped for a familiar face. There were.... Well, obviously, a gauntlet of Tiros. She doubted that any of them wanted her to barge in on their conversation. A few older Idenues dotted the deck - none of which she recognized.
She sighed. Maybe this wasn't such a- oh! Hey! Finally, someone she could talk to! And a Vetr? Oh, she had been absolutely DYING to tell someone about her newfound information.
She slunk towards Talithe, her voice hushed as she spoke.
"Pst! Hey! I have some news for you."

Talithe looked over the edge of the Drakonborg, the surrounding area illuminated by the early morning sun. She wasn't doing anything at present -- not because she had nothing to do, but because no one was going to call her out on it if she took a short break. Talithe turned around, looking over the deck. Here and there, Drakonrhedi sparred. Some practiced their aim, others their magic. She had just finished giving an introduction to Tiros who wanted to be in the Medics and was, for the moment, content to stare and reflect. She heard someone approach, shoes clicking on the wood of the deck. Turning around, she spread her arms and embraced her fellow Vetr as she spoke. "Pst! Hey! I have some news for you.")) News? Something I haven't heard about? Fun! She leaned in towards Freya, excited. " What is it? Is anyone dead?"

Freya's excitement only heightened at Talithe's eager tone.
"What is it? Is anyone dead?"
"Yes, I—What? No!" She shook her head fervently, attempting to brush away her inquiry. "It's the opposite! Well, I mean, not the opposite. But it's a good thing! No death! Well, I mean, he did knock her out, but..." She desperately attempted to recover herself, her head proceeding to shake.
"Oh, I'll just say it. Cedric has a crush!" She lowered her voice upon realizing her loudness, giving the scene a quick glance before continuing. "He told me a few days ago."

Talithe smiled and listened as Freya spoke. Talithe's own interest seemed to fuel hers, and she spoke quickly. "Yes, I—What? No! It's the opposite! Well, I mean, not the opposite. But it's a good thing! No death! Well, I mean, he did knock her out, but..." )) Woah. Slow down, dear.No death, but unconsciousness? This is getting more interesting by the minute. A he and a she figure prominently? Fun!She simply nodded and listened, content to let Freya talk. "Oh, I'll just say it. Cedric has a crush! He told me a few days ago." Several of the nearby Drakonrhedi had their attention drawn by Freya's loudness. Talithe waved a hand, and they returned to their normal activities. Talithe's eyes, meanwhile, practically sparkled. Now that's interesting. Talithe took a minute to squeal internally, and began to spew forth questions. "Who is it? Is she cute? What were they doing? How tall is she? Is she one of the Drakonrhedi? Or is she a commoner? Did they kill anything? Why did he knock her out?"--Freya ForsdottirThis isn't as bad as it could be so I'm going to be excited about that

"Who is it? Is she cute? What were they doing? How tall is she? Is she one of the Drakonrhedi? Or is she a commoner? Did they kill anything? Why did he knock her out?"
Freya was clouted by a bout of questions, bringing her hands up in an attempt to control the enthused Vetr. Calm down! She could only gather so much. That was, of course, hypocritical. Freya constantly allowed her excitement to get the best of her, spurting random questions in all directions until she had to come up for air. She had quite the habit of cutting people short, especially to express her hyperactive interest.
...Sheesh, how did people put up with her? Oh well. Now was not a time to dwell on that subject.
"I wish I knew the answer to all those questions. You know, at first he tried to get me to believe it was a character for one of his plays! I didn't, of course, but I don't think he really wants too many people to find out." She quickly perked up, saying, "Oh! But I do know the answer to your last question!"
"He knocked her out using that sinus trick. You know, the one below your ear? Well, apparently she kissed him and, being Cedric, he allowed his instinct to take over. I don't think she knows that he knocked her out, though! I mean, I'm not sure... I should probably consult him about it."
She took a deep breath, looking expectantly up at Talithe.

"I wish I knew the answer to all those questions. You know, at first he tried to get me to believe it was a character for one of his plays! I didn't, of course, but I don't think he really wants too many people to find out.")) Talithe frowned. That was very much like Cedric. Poor Ced. Telling Freya might not have been his best idea. Ah, well."Oh! But I do know the answer to your last question! He knocked her out using that sinus trick. You know, the one below your ear? Well, apparently she kissed him and, being Cedric, he allowed his instinct to take over. I don't think she knows that he knocked her out, though! I mean, I'm not sure... I should probably consult him about it." )) Talithe made a small "o" with her mouth. " She kissed him?" She squealed externally this time. This was so exciting! "We need to find her! We need to help him! We need to --" Several nearby Drakonrhedi were staring as Talithe was growing increasingly loud. She looked at Freya. "-- we need to take this conversation somewhere private. To my room, perhaps? We can draft a plan of attack."Being the diplomat of the Drakonrhedi, a "plan of attack" would likely be forcing them into proximity in an environment where Talithe and Freya could observe and meddle freely. A party, perhaps? A triple-date, maybe! Talithe was sure she could find someone to appropriate for such a purpose... maybe one of the Pryfektus would be a good candidate if this plan came to pass. -- Freya ForsdottirNow with 25% less suck!

"She kissed him?"
Freya nodded furiously, her body hardly able to constrain her withheld energy. "Yes! She was drunk, though. I'm not entirely sure if she remembers what happened."
Gah, why didn't she interrogate Cedric further? Surely he'd crossed paths with her a second time?
"We need to find her! We need to help him! We need to --" She stopped herself, having become conscious towards the eavesdroppers encasing them. Freya followed her gaze.
"--we need to take this conversation somewhere private. To my room, perhaps? We can draft a plan of attack."
She nodded quickly, skipping after her fellow Vetr. Oooh, the things they could do!
"You know, Cedric even assigned her as his partner?" She said, minding to keep her voice at a moderate level. "I'm not sure if he followed through with it or not. We should find out!"
They were Vetrs, after all. Surely they had some method of distinguishing this woman.

"Yes! She was drunk, though. I'm not entirely sure if she remembers what happened.")) Ced got her drunk? I doubt that. Or at least, I doubt that was his plan.
Or perhaps he was feeling bold.
Talithe squealed again at that. This was getting so very interesting! Cedric wasn't usually like this! She and Freya had to act fast. Talithe listened as she walked down the corridor towards the Vetr's quarters. "You know, Cedric even assigned her as his partner? I'm not sure if he followed through with it or not. We should find out!")) Oooh. He really likes her, then. She shut the door behind herself and Freya, looking at her chalkboard. Having been washed recently, it was clear. She picked up the chalk, tapping it to her chin thoughtfully. "We have to get him and whoever this is together. We need to learn everything we can about her! And him. I haven't romantically, uhm. Studied him. Recently."
Talithe looked down and toed the ground for a moment. She wasn't sure how to put that. She had had a minor crush on him a few years back, but it never went anywhere and her attention had turned elsewhere. That isn't important right now.
Talithe perked up. "But, yes! We should force them together. Without. Brute force. Tactically." She pinched her fingers together slowly to illustrate. Freya was good at that. It wouldn't be suspicious, either, if they organized something. Anything, really! She looked at the other Vetr, waiting for any ideas to bounce back. -- Freya ForsdottirNow with 33% less suck!

Cedric rapped on Talithe's door. He thought he'd seen her vanish down here a while back with Freya. They were probably up to something, but that wasn't his worry right now.
"Talithe?" he called out.
With a shrug, he opened the door and poked his head in. "Remember that shipment of light-infused bandages you told me to let you know when it arrived?" He jerked his head back in the direction from whence he'd came. "It just arrived. Thought I'd let you know."
He glanced between them. "That's it. Sorry for interrupting, I'll let you two get back to whatever mischief you were up to." The man frowned briefly. "It better not involve fireworks. You know how that worked out last time."
With that, he withdrew.

"We have to get him and whoever this is together. We need to learn everything we can about her! And him. I haven't romantically, uhm. Studied him. Recently."
Freya perked up. Recently? Oooh, that could be interesting too! She wasn't aware of any of the preceding drama from the years before her joining. The Council, that is. Perhaps she should investigate?
No! One crisis at a time!
She set the thought aside, reminding herself to pick it up later. "I know a fair amount about Ced, but he can be pretty secretive. I'm sure there's plenty that I'm not aware of."
"But, yes! We should force them together. Without. Brute force. Tactically."
"Agreed," She said, considering their options. They could set them up on a blind date! Well... In some sense. Probably not a legitimate date.
He said she was into some of the same things he was. If she remembered correctly, the woman was in the violent spectrum of things. Didn't they successfully beat up a gang? Hmm, that could be useful.
A rap on the door initiated an overwhelming silence, her stomach churning at the noise.
"Talithe?"
Her wild assumption was deemed accurate. Shit! Of all the people, why Cedric! Had he heard them this whole time? Oh, he was probably going to barge in and put an end to their meddling.
"Remember that shipment of light-infused bandages you told me to let you know when it arrived? It just arrived. Thought I'd let you know."
She turned around, the blue-haired man peeking into the room. Confusion lit up her features - relief knocking her straight in the gut.
"That's it. Sorry for interrupting, I'll let you two get back to whatever mischief you were up to. It better not involve fireworks. You know how that worked out last time."
Freya shut her dropped jaw, nodding vigorously as the Vetr pulled away. "Eh...hehe, thanks Ced!" She chirped after him, her attention returning to Talithe. She ensured that Cedric was long gone before she spoke up.
"That was CLOSE. Okay. Wow." She composed herself before continuing, bringing her voice down slightly. "Um... Anyways, I was going to say that he said that she was into fighting and what not. Beating people up? I believe they somehow fought a gang in Midgardborg."
She shook her head. "I mean, that could be worth something. Perhaps we could somehow lure them into a fight? I'm not entirely sure how well that'd play out, though."

Talithe's thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door. "Talithe?")) It was Cedric. ...Crap. He's been listening. We've been had!"Remember that shipment of light-infused bandages you told me to let you know when it arrived? It just arrived. Thought I'd let you know.")) Her face lit up with a combination of relief and "ooh, my stuff's here!" She smiled at him, "Thank you, dear!" As he left, she looked back at Freya, and let her shoulders fall. "That was CLOSE. Okay. Wow." )) "That was about two-hundred percent too close!"Taking another moment to think, she listened as Freya spoke. "Um... Anyways, I was going to say that he said that she was into fighting and what not. Beating people up? I believe they somehow fought a gang in Midgardborg." )) Freya continued, explaining her plan to force a fight. That sounds like Ced. She snapped her fingers. "We could stage a fight... though that could get messy. You know how he gets when he's fighting. We don't want... unnecessary collateral damage to life or limb. And we don't know how she gets either." This was partially out of mercy on her part and partially out of the fact that she would be the one cleaning it up. She tapped the chalk to her chin again. "We could... host an event of some type. Make everyone bring a guest. That might force him to bring her, and then we can do whatever we have to to ensure it's working. Unless she's bad. Then we ensure it doesn't work." She nodded, seemingly pleased with her plan. -- Freya ForsdottirNow with 35% more suck! SORRY IT'S SO LATE

"We could stage a fight... though that could get messy. You know how he gets when he's fighting. We don't want... unnecessary collateral damage to life or limb. And we don't know how she gets either."
Freya nodded in agreement. A fight, staged or real, would probably be less desirable in this situation. She had witnessed Cedric's method of fighting... It was odd, really. He seemed composed through the entire thing, although he still managed to beat his foe to a bloody pulp. He was lethal enough by himself - he didn't need a friend to double the damage.
"We could... host an event of some type. Make everyone bring a guest. That might force him to bring her, and then we can do whatever we have to to ensure it's working. Unless she's bad. Then we ensure it doesn't work."
Freya livened at her suggestion, her lips ripping apart to form a grin. "Oh, that's brilliant! We could have a... a party!" She fidgeted with excitement, springing from her seat. "There could be food, dancing... Decorations? I haven't the slightest idea where we'd get those, but I'm sure we can manage something!"
She nearly squealed. Why hadn't she thought of this? The Drakonrhedi hosted far too few social gatherings for her liking, very few holding up to the high expectations she gave them.
"Ah! How many people would come? Why not invite the whole Drakonrhedi! But what should they wear? Anything, I'm sure. I bet we could get the chefs to whip up something... above average!"
She was getting ahead of herself, as per usual.
