Thalia ran across the deck, eyes alight. She'd been down below deck when a drifting rumor had caught her ear, and her curious, free spirit took hold of her. It wasn't everyday that she was free to bird watch, and it especially wasn't every day that a Blue-Winged Falcon was spotted flying so high and so far off from land. Hence the long-strided run that the Tiro was now taking as she passed by her fellow Drakonhedi. Soon she was on the port side of the vessel, leaning near-precariously over the railing. It was a shame that today the sky held so many clouds. But as she peered into the sky, a shift of movement appeared in a nearby cloud, and Thalia smiled, watching as the bird emerged from it's foggy shroud. The falcon swept out of the cloud with no less grace than a running waterfall, and it's path led him right over the ship, and right over Thalia's head to her utmost delight. To the common person, the bird would have seemed like any other bird. But as it passed overhead, the Tiro reveled in the view that it graced her with. From the top the bird was deep brown with blonde-colored speckles. But from the bottom, the falcon had magnificent royal blue plumage under it's wings that traveled over it's chest. The feathers caught some rays of sun and sparkled to their full potential, bringing a great smile across Thalia's face. As quickly as the bird had come, it was gone, back behind another cloud. Thalia made a mental note to mark that down in her bird-watching book - one nobody knew about. It wasn't that she was ashamed of it, but some things were personal, and this was one of them. The birds had always held a special meaning to her, and spotting them was like her own mini treasure hunt. A gust of wind ruffled the deck, blowing her long curly locks up and around her face. Thalia pushed several back behind her ear and leaned back against the railing. Even though it was cloudy, it sure was a nice day. Granted, any day that it wasn't raining was generally a good day. But now the curious Tiro was beginning to feel the pull of boredom. She'd dropped what she was doing down below to come see the falcon, and now she wanted nothing more than to not go back down below deck. Instead, she turned around, pressing her one hand and her stomach against the rail as she reached her free arm over the side of the ship, running it through the passing clouds. --- Tags: Thalia ForsdottirNotes: I hope this is ok xD

Tags: HarnietInspiration: Haha what Notes: yeaH I DONE A THING "Get back here, you--" And thus goes the call of the pissed Pryfektus! Thalia turned and, ignoring the distance she appeared to be falling, leaped from the crow's nest in a maneuver of breakneck daredevil impulse. Or so it would seem to any observer. But she had her daring escape planned for this particular escapade. Holding onto her top hat with her right hand, she reached out and grabbed a conveniently placed rope with her left. The force of her impact was just enough to dislodge it from where it'd been secured with a light knot, sending her flying through the air. Her aim was fairly good, 'clotheslining' the rope on one of the drake roosts. She was flung outwards and then upwards, still holding on, propelled by the momentum of her fall. Just before the top of the circle she was tracing in the air, she let go, landing nimbly on the drake roost, startling its one inhabitant. She chuckled as the drake gave an amused warble. "Hey, Puck," she whispered to him as she made her way down towards the end of the roost. The drake let her go: he was possibly the only being on this ship more mischievous than Thalia. It also happened to have more authority than her, apparently. Vetr Vyrrson treasured his beast. With a wink to the Vetr's drake, she shifted into her cat form. Quick, stealthy, fluffy, and adorable: everything that Thalia loved in one compact little bundle of Pallas's Cat. Mewling, she dashed off down the roost and leaped to a thinner beam below her, scampering across it and onto a stack of crates. In this form, she didn't need to hang on to her top hat. Usually. There'd been a few notable occasions where she'd worn a top hat as a cat. They were not talked about but frequently referenced for the amusement of those involved in said incidents. And, of course, to also infuriate anyone who hadn't been there. Annoying people was great fun, after all. Escaping from annoyed people was also great fun. Thalia was considered very annoying, and she found that fun, too. People who annoyed people were also considered fun: so long as they did it for fun. Leaping from the crates, she shifted midair, coming out in her human form and snatching her top hat out of the air as she landed. Spinning around with a chuckle, she pulled the hat down before glancing up at the crow's nest. The Pryfektus apparently did not care enough to give chase: most didn't, which left her to have fun on her daring exploits to run away from them. Walking backwards slowly, she craned her head upwards and traced her route on the way down. Not a bad escape, really. Most people hadn't even noticed her, but a group of newer Tiros were looking at her with wide eyes and open mouths. She grinned like a cat, sending a wink their way. A breeze ruffled her hair, sending wavy blonde locks into the air. She could feel it push on her top hat, but the thing was too trusty to be knocked over by wind. Thalia chuckled, glancing at the sky. Overcast, but still fairly nice out. "And there's that," she mused aloud to herself. "Didn't even give chase. I knew he wouldn't. I didn't cause that much trouble."

A shadow passed over, and Thalia looked up into the sky to see what could have caused it. Maybe the falcon had come back? No, the shadow was too big. Perhaps another ship was passing over? No, the shadow was too small, and besides, they were flying near maximum altitude right now; not many ships could or would go higher just to pass them. Her question was answered in the form of a young girl swinging from a rope. Thoroughly intrigued, the Tiro couldn't help but watch. She kept her eyes on the mystery girl as she swung from an available rope, sliding into the dragon nests. Then, for several moments, Thalia lost sight of her. A cat appeared running down some beams, but she didn't think anything of it until it shifted. Of course, the girl's animal form was a cat. With a top hat. Thalia bit her lip to keep from laughing as the girl caught her hat mid-shift, placing it tightly on her head. She wondered if the girl ever wore the had in her cat-form. Wow, wouldn't that be a sight to see? Thalia wondered who the heck this girl was, walking around with a smug look on her face like she owned everything and she'd just done something that nobody else could do. Granted, the second part seemed pretty reasonable considering what she'd just done, but that was no reason to taunt the newer Tiro's across the deck with it. As soon as she caught herself judging, Thalia stopped herself. You can't judge a book by it's cover! Or maybe you could. The girl had spoken to herself, but she was close enough that Thalia could hear her. So she was a troublemaker, and probably a devious one at that in comparison to the stunt she just pulled. Was this girl a Tiro, like her? Thalia looked her over, and felt confident that she was roughly her age. Much too young to be any rank higher, and certainly too old to be anything like an Apprentice. There was no way that Thalia wasn't going to talk to her; it would've been an abnormality of life to resist. Striding over casually, Thalia smiled at the mystery daredevil. "Quite the stunt," she commented. --- Tags: Thalia ForsdottirNotes: No inspiration xD

Tags: HarnietInspiration: haha what Notes: ayyyy have a bad post "Quite the stunt." Thalia spun. At first she was afraid that it was some Iduneus or force of authority come to punish her for her perceived (and actual) misdeeds. But it appeared to be just another Tiro, probably about her age. She relaxed a little; Tiros were easy to outrun. With a chuckle, she swept the top hat off of her head and dipped into a grandiose bow like that of a stage performer, grinning in her feline manner the entire time. Coming out of the bow, she tossed her head to send her wavy hair back behind her shoulders and out of her way. Not all of it was entirely cooperative, so she ran a hand through it quickly before placing the top hat back on her head. "Thank you, darling," she drawled. Glancing around, she took a quick tally of her surroundings. Most everyone seemed preoccupied with other things, as Drakonrhedi had a lot of 'other things' to do. She would have no problem scampering off, then, should things start going down. She doubted they would. Today, the Drakonborg was calm. Spinning back to face the other Tiro, she crossed her arms and gave the girl a once-over. Young, but spritely, with hair like hers and fire in her eyes. Not bad. One didn't always encounter a Tiro with the possibility to be spirited enough to intrigue Thalia, but this one might be up to her standards. Depended on how prone to troublemaking she was, Thalia supposed. She definitely saw herself as a troublemaker. It wasn't that she purposefully harmed people or had malign intent. It was that she enjoyed breaking rules and having fun in whatever way she deemed most enjoyable. The people around here also needed to lighten up some--they spent most of their time killing behemoths, which apparently killed one's sense of fun just as quickly. Well, Thalia wouldn't be going through that if she had her way. "Thalia Forsdottir," she said as way of introduction. Someone who knew the names of the Vetrs would recognize her last name as being the same as Vetr Freya Forsdottir: which made sense, mostly because the Vetr and she were sisters. Not that it gave Thalia any immunity to punishments, that wasn't how the Drakonrhedi worked. In fact, sometimes Thalia was pretty sure she got punished more because of it. It didn't matter, though--the sisters were on good terms, and Freya had made it clear that the two of them were family, no matter how much havoc her little sis wreaked. That quantity turned out to be quite large. "And you are?" She arched a brow inquiringly, awaiting a response.

Thalia watched as the girl in front of her swept into a bow, and immediately started to feel her vibe. She was a jokester, and a dedicated one at that. She also looked quite similar to herself. Although the differences were easy to spot if you looked at both of them side by side. Thalia's hair was a deeper shade of blonde, and it was curlier that the girl in front of her. Also, Thalia's eyes were a deep, curious green, while the other Tiro's were a daring blue. To top it off, Thalia was also a bit taller than this other girl. Overall, next to each other they didn't look very identical, but they could easily be mistaken for each other should the unknowing eye look upon only one of them. Thalia watched as the spritely girl across from her folded her arms and looked her over as well, similar to what she'd just done. Her drawl was a bit overplayed, even for Thalia, but she kept her mouth shut. The girl in front of her had been on edge for the beginning of their encounter, but she could see the other girl was now intrigued, and Thalia began to wonder why. Her introduction was abrupt, punctual, and shocking. "You're kidding. Thalia?" Now she was practically staring her twin in the face. How many things could go wrong right now. She was definitely a trouble maker, and gods forbid she decided to dump some blame on her! For a moment, Thalia considered lying. Telling her some false name, like Stephanie. She cringed; no, definitely not Stephanie. But finally she relented in a kind of what-the-heck-why-not kind of moments. "Well, it seems we share a name. I'm Thalia Lai'ore." --- Tags: Thalia ForsdottirNotes: -

Tags: HarnietInspiration: idek Notes: sorry it's not long, didn't have much to reply to. "You're kidding. Thalia?" Thalia raised an eyebrow. "I kid a lot, but this is not one of those times." She uncrossed her arms and placed her hands on her hips, and would have planted her feet if they weren't already planted. "Why?"Had she already managed to cause an inconvenience to this Tiro? That might be a new record. Wait, no, no it wasn't. Thalia caused inconveniences within milliseconds of meeting someone. She was rather proud of the fact, too. It wasn't easy to be such a force of chaos in the world, and very few people appreciated that fact, y'know? "Well, it seems we share a name. I'm Thalia Lai'ore." The poor girl had sealed her fate. Thalia took a step back, both eyebrows raising. "Oh, delectable." A devilish smirk began to dawn on her features. After all, this Other Thalia looked almost identical to her. Without her identifying top hat, the two of them could be easy to confuse! She now had a body double scape goat! What could be better? Not much. Maybe a really big cake. But this way she could easily avoid trouble! Of course, two could play this game, which meant that Thalia would have to carefully choose her appearances. So long as she was wearing her top hat, she would be fine. Hopefully. It was a bit like an insignia at this point. And she doubted this Other Thalia could cause huge amounts of trouble--she'd have run into her before if she really was a big-time mischief-maker. "Fun!" She gave a chuckle. "Well met, Thalia. If my guess is correct, you're a bit like me in more than name and appearance, hmm?"A partnership might also be a good option. Thalia usually ran with her mentor, but recently Loureen had been less fun. Perhaps a friend her age would do her good and all that. Freya would certainly approve of the idea, and spicing up everyones' lives was what Thalia was good at. She'd have to see.

If Thalia hadn't been upbraided about this encounter a few moments ago, she certainly was now. The other Thalia gave her a drawling "Oh, delectable" that completely led Thalia to believe that things were about to spiral down in her life. But who knows - maybe this could be fun. "Well met, Thalia. If my guess is correct, you're a bit like me in more than name and appearance, hmm?"Maybe not to your crazy extreme. And I certainly don't enjoy making people upset or angry. Or, for that fact, even annoyed. I actually think that we're closer to opposites. Granted, I do enjoy fun and I'm always game for new things. Maybe ... Personally Thalia viewed herself as a good person. Always trying to rectify the awful events of her passed. Whether it was helping others or staying out of their way, she really never purposely annoyed people. "I guess you could say that I'm a bit like you in personality as well." In Thalia's mind, she weighed the odds of what the worst that could happen was. She got in trouble. Looking at the girl across from her, she assumed that she had a reputation. She, herself, didn't. If the trouble was serious, perhaps the authorities would blame her. In which case, there's nearly no damage to herself other than a reprimand. Though she had no doubt if they were to get caught that the other would try to blame her. It was going to be a chance and a gamble. But it was one that Thalia decided she was going to take, at least for a little while. "I'm guessing having fun is one of your strong suites?" She examined her double again, keeping her glances brief. The resemblance was almost uncanny. How the heck was this possible? It was like they were fated to meet and get into a helluva lot of trouble. How could anyone not take advantage of the fact that they had a double? Even good-girl Thalia could get a little wild with this. There was only one thing that could seal this deal, so without hesitation, Thalia asked what was on her mind. "Do you prefer pie, or cake?" --- Tags: Thalia Forsdottir

Tags: HarnietInspiration: hah why do i even have this here Notes: I'm pretty sure this post was way late. >.> Oops. Terribly sorry. It also probably sucks derp "I guess you could say that I'm a bit like you in personality as well." Thalia nodded. Good, good, that was a good start. Although a partnership could be strained with one always getting the blame for the trouble being caused. The worst that would happen was all out war as the two of them repeated avenged any punishments that had been enacted because of the other--although she doubted that would happen. She wasn't spiteful, just sprightly. And mischievous. Basically, she was one of your traditional troublemaking sprites. "I'm guessing having fun is one of your strong suits?" "Having fun. Causing fun. More or less the same thing, sometimes. Although not many appreciate my skills." It was true. Even without her sense of humor, her ability to sneak about unnoticed, her agility, and her fearlessness were often overlooked and undervalued because of how much trouble she caused. She didn't particularly mind--that was other peoples' loss, not hers. She utilized her particular set of skills just fine, thank you very much. "Many here have forgotten their humor and their liveliness in their desire to be a rigorous, upstanding group of warriors.""Do you prefer pie, or cake?" Oh, on to the big questions now, are we? Her eyes narrowed like a crouching feline before the strike. It was time to see how uncanny this resemblance really was: whether they were of the same breed or destined to be rivals. "Cake," she answered carefully, yet truthfully. "But I'll eat anything with sugar. Scratch that, I'll eat anything."It was true. Thalia was not a picky eater, and she found herself loving pretty much anything that wasn't absolute crap lately. "What about you?" she inquired of Other Thalia. "Cake or pie? Also, while we're at it, cats or dogs?"Thalia was definitely a cat person. She could transform into one, after all, and she admired greatly their independence, silliness, and ability to be where they weren't supposed to. It lined up with the traits she most respected almost perfectly.

"Having fun. Causing fun. More or less the same thing, sometimes. Although not many appreciate my skills."That didn't surprise Thalia in the least. There was a very slim market for mischievous blondes who'd rather goof around than train and be productive. Like pickled herring, only some people had the taste for it. She herself could go either way. It spiced up life when things got boring, which was always inviting in those cases. However, she also knew that too much of it got irritating really quickly, and even though she wouldn't burst out in anger, she would feel the annoyance rising in her. So it really depended on the day. "Many here have forgotten their humor and their liveliness in their desire to be a rigorous, upstanding group of warriors."That the Tiro could also see. Stuff like that happened when all that was on your mind was fighting. Wake up, train, sleep. Wake up, train, fight. Repeat. That was basically the world of many of the Drakonhedi. Some didn't even smile anymore. She'd thought her mentor was one of those people for a while, but she easily came to see that he was just exhausted, and of course that he was simply being very professional around her. Thalia was grateful that, so far, she had kept her joyous, fun-filled self alive as practicing slowly increased in strenuosity. "Cake." Thalia perked up slightly, an amused look entering into her eyes. Good, cake was better to both of them. "But I'll eat anything with sugar. Scratch that, I'll eat anything." Now this was her kind of girl! It was very often that this easily-distractable Tiro's thoughts drifted off to food. Actually, it was rare that she went a conversation without at least once considering what the cooks were going to be serving for the next meal. Which is exactly what she did now. There'd been a rumor of steak for dinner. All she knew for sure was that she'd be quite disappointed if that rumor didn't come true. "What about you? Cake or pie? Also, while we're at it, cats or dogs?"Thalia didn't need time to think about the first question. "Cake. Definitely cake." The second one was a bit trickier. She truly loved all animals, and the decision was tough to make. But in the end, she was a mouse, and frankly less dogs would attempt to eat her. "I do like both, but for my own sake, I have to lean towards dogs." That was where the comparisons came to their close. From the stunt that the Other Thalia had pulled a moment ago, she knew that the girl liked cats. After all, she was one. --- Tags: Thalia ForsdottirNotes: derp
