Full Name: Larael Astriddottir
Gender: Female
Eye Color: Gray (Grey?)
Age: 29
Bloodline: Hrafnung
Animal Forms: Spotted Owl
Magic Type: Cepheid Variable
Clan or Organization: Drakonrhedi
Rank: Pryfektus
Description: Larael, by and large, looks the part of a ranking officer of the Drakonrhedi. Her face is impassive and usually expressionless, though her features are delicate. Her gray eyes take in her environment, measuring and cataloging what may be important. She carries herself with confidence; and can can be seen walking through the halls of the Drakonborg with purpose, always having a destination. Her white hair hangs to the middle of her back, though it’s usually put up if she’s expecting to be around superiors. She wears a combination of plate and clothing, usually wearing a steel breastplate over her dress. She prefers to wear gloves and is usually seen with a clean pair of white cloth gloves. In battle, Larael dresses in heavier armor and is rarely seen with a winged helm. When not busy, or not expecting to be, Larael will often choose to wear loose clothing and will usually be found curled up in some corner of the Drakonborg with her drake, reading a book on whatever interests her.
Personality: Larael is a calm individual whose interests lie in the pursuit of knowledge. Despite her affinity for formal interactions with others, especially warriors, she prefers the company of books and like-minded seekers of knowledge. She is known among the ranks of the Drakonrhedi to be a by-the-books officer, who wants to see due precaution taken for each operation; and demands that every effort be taken to minimize casualties and collateral damage. Her hard demeanor softens considerably when dealing with friends or close colleagues, however.
Drake (if applicable): Fateseeker is an average, if slightly small, snow drake. He looks at the world around him with the same passive gaze as his mistress. His eyes are the same gray-blue as Larael’s, as well. On his saddle is a small map table and a waterproof leather pouch containing, of all things, more maps; of the area directly surrounding the mission area, in case of complications with mission progress. He is highly protective of her, and can almost always be found at her side, or lurking as near to her as feasible. Fateseeker is also a relatively young snow drake and is therefore very likely to follow Larael around in much the manner of a puppy, and is more keen to defend her than is often necessary. If you want to feed him, bring bacon, and a lot of it.
History: Larael was born to the Hrafnung clan as the daughter of a mid-ranking warrior. As she grew, she showed a quick wit, coupled with burning curiosity tempered by inner calm and reason. She spent much of her time aboard drakkars or zeppelins, preferring the quiet of the helm, where she studied maps and books on navigation, as well as books on tactics and grand strategy. Her love of learning distinguished her from her peers, and when the Drakonrhedi came, she was eager to earn their attention. She proved herself to the Drakonrhedi and was inducted into the order, where she continued to show promise as an effective but level-headed leader. She achieved the rank of Pryfektus in twelve years, and continues her work as a strategist and researcher of magic.
