If there is one thing that shouldn't be done to a possible pyromaniac, it's push them to the very edge of their sanity. For some reason the head chef felt like doing so to Beau that very day. Not only was he called in early because two chefs couldn't come in for their day shift, the head also seemed to be even more disrespectful to him as well. Maybe that was just in his imagination but the head appeared that way to Beau. Doubled with his usual treatment he was told to stay afterwards to clean up. Normally he wouldn't mind this but he was called in early and still had to work into his night shift. So he wasn't exactly thrilled at the extra overtime.
Beau was surprised that he didn't burn down the establishment right then and there. he had managed to reign in his anger but now he openly searched for someone to mess with him. Because of this, he walked the less friendly path to his temporary house instead of his normal way. His eyes scanned the area for the usual thugs whom would hang around this area at night. He didn't wait long to be confronted by one.
"Well, well. Out a little late, ain't ya, pretty boy?" The thug stated, blocking Beau's path. If he was a little observant he would notice the anger hidden behind Beau's eyes.
"I thank you for the compliment however I must apologize. You aren't my type. Or anyone's, for that matter." He replied casually, intent on provoking him. And he succeeded.
Dodging the punch directed towards his face Beau taunted him with a raised eyebrow and a mask of boredom. The thug became obviously angered at the slight action and became more feral in his attacks. After dodging a couple more blows, Beau got a little too cocky. The thug managed to land a hit onto his stomach. Unused to such blows it knocked the wind out of his lungs. And unfortunately for the thug, it made him finally snap. Loosing all pretense, Beau took out two of his knives and threw them into his opponent's shoulders. The thug seemed smart enough to realize the change in him but wasn't smart enough to stand down.
Taking a knife out of his left shoulder, the thug brandished it and tried to use it against Beau. This only added fuel to the fire. No one uses my knives! He thought, almost snarling. He then did what any possible pyro would do in such a situation - set his opponent on fire. His mind over come with rage he didn't take notice when the fire burned to match his anger. After his rage dispersed did he realize that the thug was dead. The thought lingered in his mind more like a fact than a sign of guilt. He didn't seem to care as much as he had noticed others did.
His pulse was racing and he was slightly breathless after using such fire and expelling his rage. The fire was still burning and held Beau's attention in a tight grip. It complimented him perfectly and helped to relax him. The fire slowly but surely died out, leaving him to frown at the lose of his closest friend. Glancing at the body he knelt down on one knee, picking up one knife that lay near the body after taking the other that was still lodged into the body's shoulder. He caught his reflection in one of the knives and sighed, irritated.
During the scuffle, both his hair and shirt got ruffled. Annoyed, he set about to remedy that, straightening them both after cleaning his knives of blood with the dead man's shirt. Still knelt down, he pondered what he should do with the body. He couldn't leave it laying there, though no one could care less that a thug was dead. He probably just done everyone a favor. Perhaps if I burn the body down to ashes the wind will scatter them. He thought, wondering two things. One, if he could get his fire to burn hot enough for that to happen and two, if anyone was near enough to hear the screams of the thug before leaving the night silent. He could always say that he killed the man in self-defense and everyone would believe him. Hopefully. After all, he never intended to kill him, that's just how it went.
