Full Name: Oddvarr “Oddi” Rossketillson Hrafnung
Gender: Male
Eye Color: Brown
Age: 14
Bloodline: His father is of clan Hrafnung, his mother a Drakonrhedi.
Animal Form: Unknown at this stage
Magic Type: White Dwarf (shadows and concealment), although obviously without training he is unable to access this power. Friends of his mother, some visiting when she does, helped him to discover his magic type; but do not have time to cultivate it further.
Clan: Hrafnung
Rank: Apprentice
Description: Tall and thin for his age, Oddi was never the strongest of his peers. He is a fair enough runner, but doesn’t really possess the stamina to gain a position as a messenger or anything like that. Not that this bothers him- he doesn't particularly like running, anyway.
A mop of black hair flops about his head, partly concealing long thin eyebrows and wide brown eyes. Oddi is a pale boy, with pale shirtsleeves to match and a waistcoat only a few shades lighter than his hair. His father insists he wear this as his tidy dress, though obviously when conducting his duties as an apprentice he garbs himself in more practical attire.
Personality: A nervous, easily distracted individual; Oddi can not keep his mind on any one task for long. He is skilled at crafting, but this short attention span means that it is a rare occurrence for him to actually finish work on an object. In addition, he often seems a tad vague; drifting off and daydreaming at the most inopportune of moments- sometimes even when conversing with others. Some have interpreted this as being rude, others feel that he is just a bit odd. In any case; Oddi does not have many friends. Not that he really minds.
Oddi is a cheerful young man. When he isn't busy looking anxious, he will almost certainly be smiling. And why not? He has a lot to smile about, after all! He seems to be on track to achieve his life goals, and lives on the beautiful Midgardborg- where lovely carvings and sculptures of the different clan mascots gaze at him from every angle.
He enjoys feeling useful. Hence his desire to be a blacksmith, or an artisan- he wants to use his skills to do something good for society.
As if his social skills weren't appalling enough, Oddi is in addition quite easily embarrassed. If he does or says something foolish and this is addressed, or if he realises; he will blush and often have trouble speaking. Typically he does not have a stammer though, he more just falls over his words and clams up and can't really speak much at all. Suffice to say, he wouldn't make a very good diplomat. He is also rather bad at thinking on the spot and responding to unforeseen circumstances, though he is getting better as time goes by.
Oddi is on occasion prone to petulant tantrums of frustration when he doesn’t get his way, as an extension of his inability to cope with unheralded change and the like.
Drake (if applicable): N.A
History: From a young age he could be found wandering the streets, making twigs into airship models and whatnot. Oddi encountered street children, stray animals, all manner of misfits. Yet he was also introduced to the children of family friends, and made friends in that way too. Oddi has never really seen much of his mother, as she is often away with the Drakonrhedi, but he lives with his father on the Midgardborg. In fact, he has never been off the Midgardborg. It is his home and his life.
Relationships:
Apprenticed to Stephen Vyrrson. Oddi hopes to become a smith when he is older (to help out against their enemies, the behemoths), or failing that an artisan; and looks forward to this more specialised part of his training.
Thalia Forsdottir was one of Oddi's close childhood friends. Sixteen now, she has departed with the Drakonrhedi. He does miss her and her escapades.
Other:
Favourite colour: Light blue
Favourite animal: Snow drake, although he has no real desire to become a Drakonrhedi.
